The Life of a Furloughed Brewer

Lockdown, Day 7439

I’ve completed Netflix. My dogs are getting pissed off at having to go for walks so often. The house has been repainted 3 times since this all began. Boredom is starting to set in.

My girlfriend works full time from the attic now, so unless I’m being ordered to fetch cups of tea, it’s essentially just the dogs and me conversing. My Elkhound told the funniest joke yesterday…

I’ve been brewing a lot in my garage. Experimenting with new techniques and ingredients. It’s always good to keep in the swing of things and to get the chance to experiment. The side effect of this however is, I now have about 500 bottles of beer to drink by myself… should probably last me a week or two.

Online brewing seminars were pretty popular in the early days, but I think they’re starting to run out of topics. They’re few and far between these days, and the last one titled “Beer Bongs, Are They Really That Bad For You?” wasn’t really up to scratch if I’m being honest.

Surely the end of this is in sight. I’d love a pint down the pub… pubs will still be a thing when this is over won’t they? WON’T THEY?
