May 2024 wasn’t just Beartown Brewery’s birthday. It was also our biggest sales month ever. A pretty great birthday present!
To celebrate 30 years of brewing, we launched our most ambitious campaign to date. With over 50 venues involved, near and far, our customers got to enjoy a shared Beartown celebration.
At the core of it all is our brilliant community, landlords, bar managers, bar staff and our beloved beer drinkers, many of whom have been with us since day one. Campaigns like this are about more than beer. They’re about bringing people together and celebrating what makes Beartown special.
We rolled out exclusive beers at participating venues (because it wouldn’t be a celebration without the good stuff), a high-energy speed quiz with fun-filled birthday themed rounds, custom co-branded uniforms to unite the pack, and gift-wrapped it all in the Beartown spirit you know and love.

So, how did we pull it off
We teamed up with our friends at GAZER, a specialist marketing agency for the food, drink and hospitality sector, to bring the whole thing to life and give our customers the best 30-year bash imaginable. From campaign concept to a hyper-local marketing push, they made sure no one missed the party.
They understood it was about more than just pushing pints. It was about creating meaningful experiences, bringing real value to the venues pouring our beers and the amazing customers making it all possible.
The campaign was such a success, it completely rewrote our sales calendar. Whoever said Christmas was the best sales month clearly never had birthday plans like ours.
But the real win wasn’t just in the strategy. It was how we brought it to life on the ground. From customised uniforms to exclusive beers, we gave venues something they were proud to pour — and something their customers wanted to talk about.
