Beartown’s New Solar-Powered Future

solar panel installation

If you’ve looked up at the brewery recently, you may have spotted something new on the roof.

This summer, we installed 190 square metres of solar panels at Beartown Brewery, creating what is now the second-largest solar panel installation in Congleton.

While the installation certainly looks impressive, this project is about much more than appearances.

Brewing beer requires a significant amount of energy. From mashing and boiling to cooling, packaging and running the brewery day to day, producing great beer takes plenty of power.

Our new solar installation has been designed to cover our electrical needs, helping to reduce our reliance on the grid and significantly lower our environmental footprint. Any surplus energy we generate will be exported back to the grid, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.

Not a bad little circle of sustainability!

Big thank you to Steve Shuttleworth at Amiga Finance for helping us to invest in our future.
